"Fake enough to be safe, but real enough to be totally cool!"

Special effects grab our attention. Bullet hits and pyrotechnics performed right in front of cameras are safe

and spectacular when they're done right. But, we now know as fake as it is and as cool as it looks,

there is a serious and alarming problem when they’re done wrong.

Special effects often contain LEAD and when detonated the lead dust is airborne with much of it invisible

to  the naked eye.

How can you help to change this practice? How do you safeguard yourself or family and friends

who work in the television and film industry?
